Seeking to Call

Matthew 4:18-20 | John 1:40-42, 12:20-22, 6:8

Andrew’s story is a fascinating one. He was a fisherman along with his famous brother, Peter and Jesus called Andrew to be a fisher of men. Our text says that he left his nets and followed Jesus.

Is there any evidence that he caught men? John tells us some Greeks came to Philip, wanting to see Jesus, but he didn’t know what to do. He brings them to Andrew. Andrew knew exactly what to do—bring them to Jesus (John 12:20-21). Most of the time, when we see Andrew in scripture, he is bringing people to Jesus.

Christmas is about Christ coming to seek men and women He can call into His harvest field. He is seeking those who will bring people to Him. He is calling you to be a part of His Master Plan. Are you answering the call?
