Seeking the Fearful
Exodus 3:9-10, 4:1-12 | Phillipians 4:6-7
Fear is crippling. It can silence us when something should be said and immobilize us when action should be taken.
In Moses’ case, fear led him into the wilderness, away from his problem. Fear prompted him to ask God to find someone else to speak to Pharaoh even caused him to doubt God’s plan to deliver the children of Israel.
In spite of Moses’ fear, God delivered him from the people who sought for his life. God reassured Moses that He had chosen him to speak to Pharaoh on the Israelites behalf and lead them out of Egypt.
Fear is peculiar. It can prevent us from doing certain things, but motivate us to take action at other times.
Don’t let fear prevent you from doing what you’ve been called to do. Rather let it provoke you to take action and go to God. God is seeking to reassure and strengthen the fearful.
