Genesis 3:1-9

Adam and Eve heard God coming into the garden. They ran and hid from God among the trees. As God came closer, He called to Adam and Eve asking, “Where are you?”

Sin causes many problems in one’s life. One of the problems that sin causes is separation. When mankind allows sin to enter their life, it separates them from a loving God. It causes the sinner to run away and hide from the one person who can correct their problem.

When sin causes one to run from God, God comes running after them. When sin causes one to be separated from God, God seeks a way of inclusion. When sin causes one to hide from a loving and caring God, God seeks after that person until He finds and restores them.

So it was for Adam and Eve, God came seeking. Knowing where they were, He came seeking. Knowing that He was what they needed, He came seeking. Restoring them into fellowship, God came seeking.
