Seeking the Ordinary
Luke 2:8-11
“I could never do that. I’m not talented enough. I don’t have the abilities that they do. If I could do that like they do, then maybe I’d be important.”
How many times have you thought that? How many times have you wished that you had certain abilities? How many times have you felt like you’re noone special? We’ve all been there!
The shepherds most certainly felt that way. Having a profession that wasn’t looked highly upon, they would have felt insignificant.
However, God doesn’t just seek the socially elite. He doesn’t just seek those who appear to “have it all together.”
Don’t ever think that you can’t be used of God because of your social standing, your family history, or your “physical inadequacies.” God seeks the ordinary.
