When God called Abraham from Haran and promised to make a great nation out of him, He didn’t provide a detailed road map of the future. Instead, God revealed to Abraham the steps he should take, when it was necessary.

Oftentimes, we want God to reveal the when, where, how, and why of His will. But He never promised to give us all the details.

Instead, He promised, “Be strong and of good courage; don’t be afraid or dismayed: for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (Joshua 1:9). He promised that, “God is light, and in him is no darkness at all” (I John 1:5b), and that “if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin” (I John 1:7).

No matter our age or where we are in our Christian walk, Christ continually seeks to reveal His will. All we need to do is walk in His light.
