Seeking to Save

Every year we hear the story of Christmas and many of us can repeat it flawlessly. The innkeeper had no room. A baby was born to a virgin in a stable and angels sang to shepherds. Magi rode camels and followed a star to bring gold. Wisemen still seek Him you know.

Sometimes it feels like just a story. But it’s more. It’s a TRUE story.

It’s the truth of how Jesus came to us as a baby in a manger, came seeking a cross instead of a crown; His fallen creation instead of a kingdom; the ordinary, the rebellious, the hopeless.

And that’s why we tell the Christmas Story again and again. For to us a child is born, to us a son is given….to seek and to save.
