God Among Us

Isaiah 7:14 | Heb 2:17-18

Throughout history God revealed himself through fire, prophets, and heavenly voices. But to us, He is revealed in the form of a baby (Hebrews 1:1-3). The Creator of the Universe could have revealed Himself in any way He chose. He was worthy of more glory than any king. He was wiser than any human. But He chose to be born like us, as a baby; He chose to grow in strength and knowledge just as any human. Jesus loves us so much He chose to feel our pain, face our temptations, endure the worst of our world, and learn humility and obedience. In all this, He always responded with purity and holiness making Him the perfect sacrifice for our sin. Jesus went to the greatest extent to be the way, show the way, and walk the way for us. This is a perfect picture of who God is. This is a perfect example of how to reach Him. This is Emmanuel - God among us.
