Promise Among Us

Genesis 3:15 | Hebrews 6:13-20

What comes to mind when you hear the word promise? Is it broken and unfulfilled promises? Or sweet memories of promises kept? However you view promises, God’s promises are always sure. God never makes a promise that He will forget or neglect. Never.

God promised to send His Son, Emmanuel, to walk among us and redeem us. You can trace this promise back to the bite of fruit that brought sin into humanity. When God dealt with Adam and Eve about their sin, He promised a Redeemer. Notice His statement to the serpent, “And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel” (Gen. 3:15)

Then it happened, Emmanuel came in human flesh. The fulfillment of God’s promise. Just remember, struggling child of God, God cannot lie. What He promises, He will fulfill. Emmanuel is proof of this fact.
